Author Guidelines

The process from submitting the article until the article is published takes time around 9-16 weeks. Please prepare your manuscript using the following guidelines before submission.

Article Categories

The article is in one of the following categories:

  • Research Article. A research article reports the results of original research, assesses its contribution to the body of knowledge in a given area.
  • Literature Review. The literature review is a text of a scholarly paper, which includes the current knowledge including substantive findings, as well as theoretical and methodological contributions to a particular topic. Literature reviews are secondary sources and do not report new or original experimental work. Most often associated with academic-oriented literature, such reviews are found in academic journals and are not to be confused with book reviews that may also appear in the same publication

Article Structure

The article is written in the following structure:

  1. Title
The title has to be shortdense, and clear. It covers keywords from research concepts and observed variables. A title of 12 (twelve) words maximum should be provided.
  2. Abstract
An abstract has to give a summary to the readers about the article’s content: the aim of the research, methods, main result, and conclusion. This section is not part of the text and must be complete. No table numbers, pictures, references, or math expressions are shown. An abstract must not have more than 200 words within one paragraph.
  3. Keywords
This section contains the 5 most important words from the paper, separated by a semicolon (;).
  4. Introduction
The introduction covers the backgroundresearch questions, the aim of the research, and writing organizations.
  5. Method
The method covers steps on conducting research.
  6. Result and Discussion
This section contains the results of the research along with its discussions.
  7. Conclusion
This section contains the conclusion and suggestions from the research.
  8. Acknowledgment
The researchers may want to show gratitude to all support from co-workers, the technical staff, or financial support from particular organizations.
  9. References
This section contains literature cited in the paper. IJIES uses the IEEE style (as provided in this link or check the IJIES template). It is suggested to make references using Mendeley tools with total of 15 minimum references (for original research paper) or 30 minimum references (for literature review paper), and 80% of the references coming from journals. It is also highly suggested to use recent references (less than 10 years sources) unless they are essential (more than 10 years sources).
